Reading, much like the radio, a human invention born of insight and innovation

Mark Seidenberg

At Reading with Ms. Joy,

I draw inspiration from the idea that learning should be both innovative and grounded in science. Just as the radio revolutionized communication through creativity and insight, my approach to teaching reading transforms the process into an engaging, effective journey — rooted in the Science of Reading.

Through personalized, research-based instruction, I equip children with the cognitive tools they need for lasting reading success. My goal is to move beyond memorization, building a strong foundation of decoding, fluency, and comprehension.

As your  Reading Coach and Partner , I work closely with families to achieve meaningful growth in each child’s reading abilities. Instruction is multi-sensory, individualized, and flexible — designed to meet learners where they are and help them thrive. I incorporate purposeful reading to build stamina and nurture a love of reading for pleasure.
