About Me
for children struggling with reading, spelling, or foundational literacy skills.
Whether your child has been diagnosed with dyslexia, has a language-based learning difference, or simply needs more support than a traditional classroom can offer — diagnosed or not — I support a wide range of learners: from those with dyslexia or ADHD to children who just need more time, tools, or attention to grow as readers.
I meet each child where they are, using a proven approach aligned with the science of reading.
My instruction is based on the Orton-Gillingham approach, a structured, diagnostic, multisensory method. Each session is tailored to your child’s learning profile and designed to build foundational literacy skills with accuracy and mastery.
I provide explicit instruction that often goes beyond what is typically taught in a traditional classroom, offering targeted support for reading and spelling development.
All sessions take place online via Zoom, with flexible scheduling that fits easily into your family’s routine. Support is available across a range of time zones.
As your Structured Literacy Coach, I use diagnostic, skill-based instruction to identify where your child is and what they need to grow as a reader. My coaching supports more than just accuracy. Learners engage with reading in meaningful ways, understanding not just what they’re learning, but why it matters and how to apply it.
I prioritize critical thinking and reasoning, moving beyond memorization to foster real comprehension and confidence.

Teaching clear letter formation is important when helping children avoid common reversals like b and d.
Kids need more than tricks; they need to understand why the letters are different, how to check their work, and what to do when they are unsure. This helps them build independence and accuracy over time.

Letter reversals can be a normal part of early reading and writing development. When reading challenges continue or involve more than just reversals, it may be time to look deeper.
Dyslexia is a brain-based learning difference that affects how children process written language. It has nothing to do with intelligence or effort. With the right support, children with dyslexia can grow into confident, capable readers.
Of course, not every struggling reader has dyslexia. That’s why I individualize support for each learner based on their unique learning profile.
Every child’s reading journey is different. I provide personalized instruction designed to equip your child with the tools and strategies they need to feel confident and capable with reading.
I work closely with families to support steady progress and create a collaborative approach that keeps your child motivated and engaged.
